4 Tips to Shift Your Marketing Mindset

What’s your mindset around marketing your business? Are you overwhelmed by everything that goes into creating consistent content and marketing your offers?

As a Marketing Coach & Consultant—who also happens to be going through her Life Coaching certification!—I combine strategic marketing tips and crucial mindset work. Because honestly… your mindset is a more significant part of your business’s success than you may realize.

Like any aspect of your business, your mindset also plays a role in your marketing. For example, if you have limiting beliefs around money, those beliefs may hold you back from selling in a strategic, successful way.

Before diving into 4 tips to shift your marketing mindset, I want to reveal my motto in life and in business! Are you ready?

You can’t build a successful business with a sh*tty mindset.

That motto embodies what my entire business is all about. Yes, I’ll share the strategic marketing tips to help you build your business—and I’m also going to share ways you can overcome limiting beliefs and step into your CEO mindset!

The strategic and tactical aspect of growing a business goes hand-in-hand with the mindset work, and we can’t be successful leaders if our mindsets don’t support our goals.

The biggest thing I hope to accomplish is to help you feel more confident and more sure of yourself as a leader in order to grow your business.

If you feel overwhelmed by marketing your business, my hope is that this post will help you transform that mindset into a more positive one.

Marketing your business can feel manageable, and I’m excited to share a few quick tips to help you shift your marketing mindset!

💥 TIP 1: Remember that you’re human!

When operating as the face of our business and running every aspect of our companies by ourselves (or with a small team), we tend to be very hard on ourselves.

We know we need to show up and market our business, but there are only so many hours in a day. And usually, we expect ourselves to be the social media specialist, the graphic designer, the ones writing the emails, doing the admin work, scheduling meetings, and so on. We have a lot on our plates!

So remember that at the end of the day, you are human. There is only so much you can do… and that’s okay. Build a marketing plan that works for YOU, your day-to-day life, and your goals. Whether that means you’re showing up on just one platform or making time for 3 different platforms is up to you.

💥 TIP 2: Do what works for you

As business owners, we consume SO much information on how to grow our businesses based on what has worked for others. There are countless podcast episodes, YouTube videos, mini-trainings, and courses on how to grow your business the same way someone else did.

But what works for someone else doesn’t always work for us. So tune into your intuition and take note of things that are working for you and what might not be working for you.

This goes for your marketing, business, and life in general. Make sure everything you’re doing in a day works for you, from when you open your eyes in the morning to when you close your eyes at night.

💥 TIP 3: Simplify your strategies

Once you start doing what works for you, you will feel much more comfortable simplifying your marketing strategies!

Know what works for you and focus on the platforms that work for your business. Simplify your marketing strategy to one or two platforms you know your ideal audience is present on, and focus on those. Once you have a positive mindset and feel really awesome about those one or two platforms, you can expand your strategy if you want to.

Refrain from exhausting yourself right off the bat by trying to show up everywhere all at once. It will burn you out, so start simple and pick one or two platforms you know your audience is on. Then, show up as best as you possibly can for your audience on those platforms!

💥 Step 4: Step into a leadership mindset

Stepping into a leadership mindset will motivate you to show up more, whether through Instagram, Pinterest, or email marketing. Whichever platform works for you, stepping into the leadership mindset will help you show up consistently and confidently.

This is important because that’s how we grow and nurture our audience! Building our leadership mindset might not necessarily seem like a marketing tactic… But it definitely is because, as business owners, we are the face of our business—so presenting ourselves as a leader can be very beneficial.
